The 59th General Assembly was held virtually via Zoom, with the participation of Al-Nahda members who exercised their rights by voting and approving the decisions on the agenda, reviewing the auditor’s report, approving the financial statements for the previous year, and endorsing the proposed plan for the new fiscal year.
The session began with a welcome speech by Ms. Reem Al-Mishari, Head of Strategic Partnerships, who introduced the Chairwoman of the Board, Her Royal Highness Princess Moudhi bint Khalid bin Abdulaziz. She welcomed the members of Al-Nahda and praised the developments and the challenges the society faced in 2021.
Next, Ms. Salma Al-Rashed, Director of Advocacy, reviewed Al-Nahda’s key achievements in 2021, including activities and events in which the society participated, and highlighted what is planned for 2022. This was followed by Dr. Muzna Al-Omair, Director of Development Programs, who presented the achievements of developmental programs and activities, concluding her presentation with a video showcasing key initiatives and zakat expenditures in 2021.
Afterwards, Ms. Maryam Al-Kaf, Director of Finance, presented the 2021 financial statements, the auditor’s report, and the estimated budgets for 2022. All decisions were approved electronically, with results displayed live.
The 59th General Assembly concluded with gratitude to all who supported Al-Nahda, including partners, ambassadors, sponsors, and everyone who believes in Al-Nahda’s mission and vision.
