Thaber Project for Educational Empowerment
Under the umbrella of emergency assistance aimed at supporting the educational journey of Alnahda families, the Thaber Project was launched. The project aims to enhance the ability of students benefiting from Alnahda to continue and succeed in their learning, following the recent Ministry of Education decision to continue remote learning for the 2020/2021 academic year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This project is Alnahda’s primary focus in 2020, addressing the challenges and obstacles faced by beneficiary families and their children in completing their educational journey, as preparations are made for remote learning to continue beyond October 2020.
The project aims to:
1. Provide logistical support to enhance the technical readiness of the 1,045 targeted students at the general and higher education levels, along with 300 low-income mothers benefiting from the program. This includes connecting them to learning platforms by providing devices, accessories, and internet packages. Specifically, the project includes internet packages for 300 families, 312 laptops, 219 tablets, and 855 headsets.
2. Provide academic support through virtual lessons designed to strengthen students’ academic performance.
3. Develop life skills, technical skills, and problem-solving abilities to support effective remote learning.
4. Provide psychological support to students and their mothers at the start of the academic year to ensure a successful school year.
