Alnahda is a nonprofit organization established in 1963 dedicated to empowering women
socially and economically through the execution of numerous projects and programs. In June 2019, Alnahda was officially accredited by the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) as a non-governmental organization consultative.
Our Vision
For women to be effective partners in the development of Saudi society.
Our Mission
To ensure a social environment that values women's participation and preserves their dignity while building their capabilities to reach leadership positions.
Strategic goals
1- Promote the effectiveness of advocates for women in different areas of Saudi life among members of the Alnahda community.
2- Support women and girls in the Alnahda community to understand and realize their ability to influence change in cultural, economic, and social life.
3- Advance Alnahda's position as the lead organization on women's issues by gathering the necessary evidence and expertise.

4- Monitor the upholding of women’s rights according to commitments made by the government.
Develop the replicability of our programs to increase organizational impact. 5-
6- Provide wholistic support to assist lower-income households to graduate out of poverty.
7- Develop institutional structure and capacities to meet long term sustainability goals.

Alnahda Society was established in Riyadh in 1382 A.H and registered in the Ministry of Labor and Development numbered (2) dated 1/3/1383 A.H corresponding to 23/7/1963

HRH Princess Sara Alfaisal Al Saud
Founder and President
HRH Princess Sara Alfaisal Al Saud is the pre-eminent founder and leader of non-profit activity of Saudi social development. Princess Sara is the sixth child of His Majesty the late King Faisal bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, the eldest child of the late Queen Effat and the wife of HRH the late Prince Mohammad bin Saud bin AbdulAziz. Throughout her life, she has tirelessly worked to fulfill her parents’ dedication to national advancement through women’s empowerment. Building sustainable institutions in the fields of social work and education, Princess Sara has been a driving force for change and development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for close to six decades.
For all her experience and efforts to bring about positive change in Saudi society, Princess Sara has been awarded by many different entities among them The King Abdul Aziz Award in the First Degree, The Chaillot Prize, The Prince Mohammad Bin Fahad Prize, and by the AlGhad Youth Association. Also, She was honored as one of the exceptional personalities by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak. Princess Sara was appointed by the late King Abdullah in 2013 as one of the first in a group of women to be sworn in to the Shoura Council.
